Has anyone else seen the photos of the hatch cover that was found from Raymond Hodgkins' boat, *Joshua’s Delight*? I've been curious about it since I first heard about this case. The fact that it was found not far from the unopened lifeboat really caught my attention. It makes you wonder if something sudden and unexpected happened that led him to not use the lifeboat despite the worsening weather. Was he thrown off balance and couldn't get to it in time? It's just puzzling to me why, with the lifeboat so close and seemingly ready to go, he didn't make use of it. Could this detail suggest something more complex at play, or is it more indicative of just how unpredictable the sea can be? I’ve been combing through any similar cases to see if there's a pattern or if something like this has been seen before. Thoughts?
