I've been looking into the *Miss Anne* disappearance again and something that's always puzzled me is the skiff they found. It's strange how only the skiff was located and not a single piece of debris from the main vessel. The ocean is vast, I get that, but wouldn't there usually be more wreckage if the boat had sunk in bad weather or hit something? I don't know much about maritime accidents, but maybe someone here with more expertise can weigh in on this. Could the skiff have detached due to some malfunction? Or is it possible the crew tried to abandon ship? This case really has so many unanswered questions, and it's been gnawing at me. Thoughts?

I just came across the case of Shawn Perkins and the *Miss Anne* and can't help but wonder about the weather conditions on the day they went missing. Does anyone know if there were any reports of severe weather or if there might have been some odd atmospheric phenomena? I remember reading somewhere that sudden, unexpected weather changes can sometimes lead to tragedies at sea. Wondering if anyone here has heard of similar situations or noticed any old marine reports from around that time. It's so strange that nothing else was found apart from the skiff. Something about this case doesn't add up to me.
