Hey everyone, I've been reading a lot about the unfortunate events surrounding the tragic deaths of Nathan Hannon and Jerome Blake. The thing that really gets to me is how the studio, HQ Recordings, was meant to be a creative space—somewhere artists could express themselves, collaborate, and maybe find some hope or direction. Instead, it became a scene of violence and loss. I can't help but think about the other artists who might have been there that day, just trying to make music, who witnessed such a traumatic event. It’s hard to fathom how a place meant for creativity and art could become a backdrop for something so devastating. My heart goes out to the families and friends of both Nathan and Jerome. It’s just all so senseless. Does anyone know if HQ Recordings is still operational after this? How do we support musicians when spaces meant for their growth become associated with such sadness?
