I came across a detail that I found really moving during the trial of Demarcus Glenn. Queen’s mother, Clara, spoke about Quentieria's love for reading and writing poetry. She even read one of Queen's poems during her testimony. It was incredibly touching to hear her mother share those words and remind everyone in the courtroom of the bright, creative mind that was taken from this world far too soon. Stories like these keep Queen’s spirit alive and provide a glimpse into the beautiful person she was. I can't begin to imagine the pain of losing her, but I hope the conviction at least offers some peace for the family, knowing justice was served.
