I can't stop thinking about the impact on Lawaun Flournoy's family and friends after such a senseless act of violence. It’s devastating to hear about someone being taken from this world in such a violent manner. I can't imagine what his loved ones are going through, knowing he's gone so suddenly and the person responsible is still out there. Does anyone know if there’s been any recent community gatherings or vigils in his memory? It might be a small comfort, but sometimes coming together can bring a bit of peace and show the family how much the community cares and stands with them. Also, if anybody still has new tips or details, remember to reach out to law enforcement. We need to keep pushing for justice and not let this case go cold.
Hey everyone,
I came across a detail about the Lawaun Flournoy case that really struck me. It seems like the authorities faced a huge challenge right from the start because there were no immediate witnesses. I've been thinking about how crucial those first few hours after a crime are—what the officers find, who comes forward, all of that. It's just so sad to think that there might have been people nearby who saw or heard something and just didn't realize how vital their information could be.
I've read that neighborhoods sometimes shut down after a tragedy like this out of fear or distrust, and it's understandable. But at the same time, it makes you wonder if someone with information might finally feel safe coming forward all these years later. If anyone reading this has connections to Augusta or knows people in the area, maybe it’s worth reaching out again to local networks—sometimes memories resurface or someone finally feels ready to talk. Let’s hope for a breakthrough that can provide some much-needed answers for Lawaun's loved ones.
Thoughts? How else can we encourage people to come forward after so much time has passed?
Hey everyone, I've been reading up on Lawaun Flournoy's case, and I just can't wrap my head around why it's still unsolved after all these years. I live in Augusta, and I remember hearing about it when it happened. It's genuinely concerning how something this horrible could happen on Dugas Street, and yet here we are, seven years later, with no answers. I don't know if any of you are familiar with the area, but it's not a place you'd expect something like this to go down unnoticed. You'd think someone might have seen or heard something that night.
From what I understand, the community has been supportive of the family and law enforcement, but it seems like the case has stalled. I really feel for Lawaun's family—living with the uncertainty and knowing his killer is still out there must be incredibly difficult. If there's anyone on here who might have more insight into the case or if you were close to the area around that time, it'd be great to keep this conversation going. Augusta deserves better, and so does Lawaun's family. Let's hope something breaks in the case soon.
