I just read about the tragic death of Roosevelt Demmons and can’t stop thinking about the impact this has had on his family, especially his son, Roosevelt Jr. Growing up without a father due to such a senseless act must be incredibly difficult. I hope that the community in Thomson is rallying around his family and offering them support during these unimaginable times. It's infuriating to see how an argument escalated to the point of taking a life. It makes me wonder if there were any previous encounters between Roosevelt and Tarver that the public isn't aware of. Regardless of past interactions, resorting to such violence is never justified. My heart really goes out to Roosevelt's family, and I hope they find peace and justice in the midst of this tragedy.
