I’ve been following Ralfeale Lowe’s case for a while and I can’t imagine what his family is going through. I read recently about the plea deal that one of the suspects, Qontavis Markis Bryant, took — pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and armed robbery. While it might be some relief that there’s a step toward justice, I wonder how they reconcile with the fact that a plea deal means less time served than a murder conviction might have ensured. It seems like such a complicated path to healing and I hope the legal outcome truly brings some semblance of peace to those who loved Ralfeale. This whole situation is just so difficult, knowing lives have been forever changed over senseless violence. What do you all think about how the justice system handled this?
