I came across the tragic case of Leon Donta Smith, known to his friends and family as "Duda." It's really upsetting to see how his life was taken in such a senseless act of violence. Reading about his death on the 300 block of East 33rd Street, it's evident that this area has had its share of unrest and makes you wonder about the broader issues of safety facing residents there. What’s extra difficult are all the unsolved cases like Leon's that leave families without answers. The lack of resolution must be incredibly painful for his loved ones. It's clear that there needs to be a stronger collaboration between the community and law enforcement to bring some form of peace and justice. My heart truly goes out to his family and the Baltimore community grappling with this trial, as they continue to struggle for safer neighborhoods and hope for justice. ?#RIPDuda
