I've been thinking a lot about the security measures at workplaces like Springwood Nursery. It just feels so sad that Jerry Wayne Whitten finished his duties, likely thinking about heading home to his family, only to face such a tragic end. It makes me wonder about how secure these places really are, especially at night. Having the office door locked and the alarm activated doesn’t seem to have prevented this awful crime. I really hope that more businesses take note of these incidents and consider additional safety measures to protect their employees. My heart goes out to Jerry's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. They shouldn’t have to worry about loved ones not coming home from work. Does anyone else think workplace security needs more attention in these cases?
