Has anyone else been following the tragic case of the Skinner family? What strikes me is the call Jermaine made to his father, Vernon, asking him to come home because Jasmyn was unwell. It’s just all so strange and incredibly sad. I can’t imagine being in Vernon’s shoes, receiving that call from your son and then finding your entire world shattered. It's heartbreaking how everything seemed so normal before that day. Jermaine was often seen in the neighborhood with Jasmyn, and neighbors thought of him as a happy, caring brother. It’s so hard to wrap my mind around the idea that this could have happened. My heart goes out to Vernon and any other family they have. I hope answers come soon and bring some small sense of closure or understanding to them. If anyone has any updates on the investigation or insights into Jermaine’s state of mind leading up to that day, I’d love to hear them.

I just can't stop thinking about the neighbors and how they must be dealing with this terrible event. Living so close, seeing Jermaine out with his dog, watching him play with Jasmyn—only for something like this to happen, it must feel so surreal. The stories about them leaving flowers and notes of sympathy outside the house really say something about how deeply the community is affected. It's a reminder of how interconnected we all are, especially in times of tragedy. My heart goes out to everyone caught up in this, not just the family but the neighbors too. I can't imagine trying to make sense of it all. What a horrendous scene they've been left with.
