Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on Palomar Mountain around the time Douglas Alan Davis went missing? I've been reading about his case and noticed a lot of discussions around his lack of preparation for the cold. Given how unpredictable mountain weather can be, it's got me wondering if a sudden temperature drop or an unexpected storm might have played a role in his disappearance. I know search efforts were immense, but inclement weather could've easily complicated things. If anyone has access to historical weather data from March 1995, it might provide some new insights or at least help piece together what challenges the search teams possibly faced. Just thinking out loud—interested to hear if anyone else has considered this angle!
I’ve always been intrigued by Douglas Alan Davis’s case, especially considering how popular Palomar Mountain State Park is with locals. It just strikes me as odd that there haven’t been any new clues or sightings despite the numerous hikers and visitors on the trails. You’d think someone might have stumbled upon some piece of clothing or even a personal item by now. It's baffling how someone can vanish in an area that's so frequently visited and searched. Does anyone know if there have been efforts to use technology like drones or thermal imaging in recent years to aid the search in these kinds of challenging terrains?
