I've been thinking a lot about how talented and driven Destiny was, especially with her involvement in so many school and community activities. It's really inspiring to see how much she accomplished at such a young age. Being Vice President of the Junior Class and part of the Debate Team while maintaining honors status is no easy feat! Her memory should remind us not just of the senseless tragedy but of the bright future she had ahead of her. I hope her legacy lives on through scholarship opportunities or programs that keep young people engaged and safe. We often hear about the negative impacts of gang violence, but let's also focus on nurturing the potential of young individuals like Destiny. What an incredible role model she was for so many.
