I've been following the Chase Gillis case closely, and I'm really struck by the role social media played in facilitating the gun swap that ultimately led to his death. It's so unsettling how these platforms, which are supposed to connect people, can be used for something so nefarious. From what I've read, Chase made contact with Logan Nettles through an online group for buying and selling firearms. It just shows how easily young people can get caught up in dangerous situations through a few clicks online. It's devastating to think about how Chase's family must feel knowing that something as common as a social media connection could lead to such a tragic loss. I hope this serves as a wake-up call for more stringent monitoring and regulation of these platforms to prevent similar tragedies in the future. Thoughts?
