I’ve been following Richard Cummings Jr.’s case closely, and something that’s really been on my mind is the impact on his family, especially with all of this happening just before he was about to embark on his college journey. I can’t imagine the kind of strength his parents need to get through each day, knowing how excited Richard was to start at Waldorf University. It’s completely unfair that this senseless violence robbed them of watching their son chase his dreams and achieve the life he was meant to live. Sending all my love and support to them as they navigate such a painful time. The community’s response shows how beloved R.J. was, and I hope it continues to lift his family up.
