I’ve been revisiting Cody Mathis’s case recently and wanted to talk about something that doesn’t get mentioned often—the impact on Cody’s community in Columbus, GA. I grew up not far from where this tragedy occurred, and the outpouring of grief and support I witnessed was incredibly moving. The unity was strong; churches, local groups, and even small businesses all came together, offering help and support to Cody's family. It was amazing to see how quickly people rallied, donating time and resources for searches and vigils to honor Cody’s memory. It’s just heartbreaking to think that years later, we're still waiting for justice. This has left a real mark on our community, and the yearning for closure is palpable. If anyone out there has any information, please come forward. Cody’s family deserves answers, and so does everyone who cared for him. We can't let this become one of those cases that fades into memory without resolution.
