I've always found myself drawn to the details of the clothing individuals wear when they go missing, and John Franklin Gregory's case has been no different. It sticks out to me that he was wearing a black motorcycle helmet when he disappeared. I can't stop wondering if the helmet might have played some role in making him less recognizable to anyone who might have seen him along Highway 20 that day. Also, for those familiar with the local area, does anyone know if there were any motorcycle events or gatherings happening around that time in 1997 that could have drawn him to change his intended path? It might seem like a small detail, but these little things can sometimes shine a light on bigger parts of the mystery. Any thoughts or local knowledge would be appreciated!
