I just can't stop thinking about how strong Casey must have been. From everything I’ve read, not only was she balancing a busy career as a medical assistant, but she was also a dedicated mom to Everett and Sean. I can't even imagine the kind of focus and energy that takes. It seems so unfair that her life was snatched away in such a horrific manner. I hope her friends and family find comfort in the memories of her vibrant personality and the love she showed everyone around her. And I sincerely hope that her story brings more awareness to the issue of domestic violence, so that other lives might be spared this tragedy. Much love and strength to her loved ones dealing with this immense loss. ?️

I’ve been reflecting a lot on the first responders who discovered the scene at Greystone Falls. It must have been incredibly overwhelming to find the baby there. The officers and paramedics who reached the scene had to process the unthinkable. It’s easy to focus on the tragedy alone, but I think we need to also consider the emotional toll on these folks who step into these kinds of situations. Witnessing the aftermath of domestic violence, especially when a child is involved, is something I imagine would stay with them for a long time. It’s a small relief that the child was unharmed physically, but the sight must have been haunting. The care and rapid response from both law enforcement and DFACS are incredibly important here. I hope they received the support they needed afterward. Let’s remember, while we’re looking into these cases, that many people are touched by these tragedies, and they deserve our thoughts and empathy too.

Has anyone else seen the reports about Casey's vibrant presence on social media? I can’t stop thinking about how active she was online—always sharing moments with her two boys and posting about her love for sports and family gatherings. It’s so surreal to think she’s no longer here. Her page, from what I could see, was full of life, joy, and love for her family, especially her kids. I can't imagine what Everett and Sean must be going through right now. It's so hard to comprehend that someone with such a magnetic personality and love for life could be taken in such a tragic way. My heart goes out to her family and friends who must be reeling from such an unthinkable loss. It's a stark reminder of how domestic violence can touch even the most seemingly happy lives. How is her family coping, and are there ways the community is rallying around them?
