I’ve been following the case of Calvin Bernard Harvey for a while, and my heart goes out to his grandmother. To lose two grandsons to gun violence in less than a year is unimaginable. It’s hard not to feel frustrated when such a vibrant young life is taken away, and yet the investigation seems to be stalling. Has anyone heard if there's been any new developments or community actions to raise awareness about this ongoing violence? I genuinely hope the authorities get the information they need to find those responsible. Communities need to feel safe, and it starts with finding justice for Calvin. I’ve been following the case of Calvin Bernard Harvey for some time now, and it just gets to me how senseless this tragedy is. My heart goes out to his grandmother—this woman has lost two grandsons to gun violence in less than a year. It’s unimaginable the pain she must be enduring. Calvin was so young, only 16, and he had his whole life ahead of him. What makes me so upset is that these shootings are happening too often in communities like South Macon, and it’s our young people who are bearing the brunt of it. Chop, as his friends called him, would have been a junior at Northeast High School, maybe thinking about college, a job, or whatever dreams a teenager has. Instead, his life was snatched away in an instant. I have a nephew around Calvin's age, and I can’t help but feel for his friends at that cookout, along with anyone in the community struggling with the aftermath. I really hope that anyone who knows anything will step up and talk to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. It’s such a tight-knit area, and sometimes people are reluctant to come forward, but Calvin’s family deserves closure. We all do. This violence has to stop, and it starts with finding justice for those we’ve already lost. If anyone else has heard any updates that might not have made it to the media yet, let's keep this thread going. Calvin’s story deserves to be told until there's an end in sight.
