I've been following the tragic case of Janae Owens, and one thing that's really been sticking with me is the devastating impact this has had on her twin sister. I just can't imagine the trauma and heartache she's going through—sitting in the back seat, witnessing such horror unfold. Losing a sibling is one thing, but to experience it in such a brutal and random manner must be shattering.
The bond between twins is often said to be incredibly strong, and I just keep thinking about how that will affect her in the long run. I hope she's receiving the support and care she needs, both emotionally and psychologically. It's easy to overlook the surviving family members in cases like these when the focus is on the victim and the perpetrator.
