I've been following the Jason Greeson case, and something that's been on my mind is the impact on the kids he coached. As someone who deeply values the role of mentors in young people’s lives, this whole situation must have been incredibly confusing and hurtful for the youth in the hockey community. I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been for parents trying to explain this to their kids, especially if they had looked up to him.
While the allegations are truly serious, there’s a part of me that hopes these young athletes can find closure and continue to enjoy the sport they love. I think it's really important now for other coaches and role models in the community to step up and provide a safe and supportive environment, reassuring both parents and kids that they’re in good hands. My heart goes out to everyone involved, and I hope USA Hockey's ongoing efforts will bring some necessary healing to all who were affected.

Has anyone else been thinking about how Jason Greeson's role at the Ice Forum might have allowed him to stay under the radar for so long?
