Does anyone here have any insight into the community response after Aldrick Hamilton’s tragic death in 2011? I’ve read about the incident happening on East 31st Street, but it’s so frustrating how little coverage or public outrage seems to have followed. This case just feels like it was overshadowed by the broader discussion on crime rates at the time, and maybe too many others were happening to get Aldrick the attention he deserved. I’m wondering how the neighbors and local organizations reacted, and if they’ve organized any vigils or efforts to keep his memory alive while pushing for answers. Losing someone that way is beyond difficult, and I hope his family knows people are still asking questions and haven’t forgotten about what happened in their community.
