Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up something that's on my mind about the tragic loss of Phildarious Parrish. I've been thinking a lot about the role of parents in this situation. It's so deeply concerning to hear that the freshman's father and brother were potentially involved in how a minor accessed a firearm. How could a parent allow a gun to be accessible to a teenager, especially in a heated situation like this? Shouldn't there be more accountability? Maybe this is a wake-up call for all parents when it comes to gun safety and keeping firearms out of the wrong hands. I just can't stop thinking about how this might have been prevented by locking away those weapons. My heart goes out to Phildarious's family and friends, and I can only imagine the ripple effect of grief spreading through his community. Let's hope this tragedy leads to some real conversations and changes around gun access and parental responsibility.
