I’ve been following the Shyekee Wilson case and I can’t stop thinking about his family. It really hits hard knowing they’ve been living with unanswered questions for so long. Nineteen-year-old Shyekee had his whole life ahead of him and to have it cut short like that... I can’t even imagine the pain for those who loved him. It’s incredibly frustrating to see how many similar cases are still unsolved. Baltimore faced a tough year in 2011, and it seems like these young lives just get lost in the statistics. It makes me think about what more can be done by the community and law enforcement working together so families can find some peace. RIP Shyekee, you’re not forgotten.
