I was reading about Carlos Benegas-Nunez's case and my heart really goes out to his loved ones. I can't help but think about how terrifying it must have been for Carlos that night in the Tenderloin District. I just stumbled across the case of Carlos Benegas-Nunez and felt compelled to share something that’s been on my mind. It bothers me that we don't often hear much about the moments and lives surrounding cases like these. It seems Carlos was victimized in the Tenderloin District, which itself is such a diverse place with a mix of struggles and stories.
Imagine what a bright future Carlos might have had, being just 30 and having so much life ahead to share with friends and family. It makes me wonder how his loved ones have managed to deal with an absence that must weigh so heavily every day. I do hope they find some peace amid all of this.
