Has anyone else been following the updates on Kawoski Newberry’s case? The fact that multiple arrests have been made, including Janareus Shannon, really emphasizes how layered and tragic this entire situation is. My heart goes out to Kawoski’s family, especially his young son, Dalton. It’s awful to think about how deeply this has affected everyone who loved him. I can’t imagine the pain of losing someone so vibrant to gun violence. It's somewhat reassuring to see law enforcement taking steps to tackle gang-related issues in Albany, but it’s just a start. The community is obviously rallying for justice, but it also makes you reflect on how these systemic issues need broader attention. Has there been any word on how the family is coping or any community efforts being organized in Kawoski’s memory? Keeping them in my thoughts as the legal process unfolds.
