Hey everyone, I've been following the Alfonso Thompson Jr. case recently, and I'm struck by how the community rallying around his family shows the strength and resilience in New Carrollton. It's inspiring to see people coming together for vigils and support, refusing to let fear overshadow their home. While the authorities continue their investigation, it's evident that the community's efforts to honor Alfonso's memory and push for more safety measures at transit spots are crucial. It’s a stark reminder of how much these senseless acts of violence affect not just the immediate family but also the wider community. If anyone here has ideas on how we can further support the family or local initiatives to improve safety, I'd love to hear them. Hopeful for some progress soon. ??
