I've been thinking a lot about Jacob Dyer, especially considering the timing of everything that happened. It's really tough to wrap my head around how quickly life can change. Being put on administrative leave must have been incredibly stressful for him, and it makes me wonder about the kind of support systems schools have in place for teachers going through tough times like this. It just seems like there are so many unanswered questions about why he was put on leave, and it's sad to think about how isolated he might have felt. My heart goes out to his students and fellow teachers. They lost someone who was clearly passionate about his work, and I hope they're finding ways to heal together.

I've been thinking about the last football game Jacob coached at Central High. It's so surreal to remember how animated and passionate he was on the sidelines, motivating his players and giving it his all. Watching how the students and the team are now coping feels like a testament to how much he meant to them. Losing a teacher and coach like Jacob is an enormous loss for the community. It's important we talk about mental health, especially for those who always seem strong. My heart goes out to his family, the students, and everyone who knew and loved him.
