I've been following the case of Ashley Wease, and it's so devastating to think about what her friends and family must be going through. I can't even imagine the pain of losing someone you love so suddenly and violently. I came across some discussions about the efforts of the District Attorney, David Cooke, in tackling the crime issues in those motels. It seems like "Operation Extended Stay" is a much-needed initiative. I was wondering, have any other actions been taken against these motels since Ashley's death? It seems like there's such a connection between these locations and criminal activities that could affect more lives. What worries me is that the focus might slip away after some time, and nothing will really change in the long run. Anybody have insights on whether these legal actions are having a real impact in Macon?
