It's baffling to me how Dafne was discovered all the way in Matamoros, Mexico, while Norma just vanished. It’s hard to grasp how someone could manage to transport both of them across the border but then only Dafne ends up on a porch? There are so many layers to this case, and one can’t help but think of the logistics involved. Assuming foul play is involved, whoever was behind this must have had significant resources or knowledge of the area to pull something like this off. Why Matamoros? Was there a specific person or place Norma might have known there? Also, crossing international boundaries must have been a risk. This was 2007, so border security wouldn’t have been as intense as it is now, but still, it feels like a huge oversight that someone could take them across so easily. This aspect just keeps me up at night. Anyone have any insights or know of similar cases where people were taken across borders like this?
I was looking into Norma's case again and can't stop thinking about how strange it is that Dafne was found in Matamoros. Norma last seen in Dallas, but then Dafne turns up over 500 miles away? That's a long way to go without leaving any trace. It sounds like whoever took them had a plan in place and probably some kind of connection to that area. I’ve read that Norma had no known ties to Matamoros, which makes me wonder even more why she—or at least Dafne—ended up there. Does anyone know if there have been similar cases in the area? I'm curious if it could point to something bigger.
