Norma Licona Morales, age 32, was last seen on February 24, 2007, in Dallas, Texas. She disappeared alongside her eight-month-old daughter, Dafne Destiny Morales. Norma and her daughter were last seen outside their apartment on Bolivar Drive. They were supposed to meet Norma’s estranged boyfriend early that morning but never arrived.
A day later, Dafne was found abandoned on a porch in Matamoros, Mexico.
She had been left with a baby carriage and supplies, unharmed but suffering from a cold. DNA testing later confirmed that the baby was Dafne, and she was returned to Norma’s family. However, there has been no sign of Norma since that day. Her car and personal belongings were left behind, raising suspicions of foul play. Despite initial thoughts that she may have voluntarily returned to Mexico, authorities now believe something more sinister may have occurred.
Norma, who was living and working in Dallas illegally at the time, is described as a responsible person who would not have abandoned her daughter or left without contacting her family.
