I’ve been thinking about the surveillance footage that captured the suspect at the Walmart where Jeremiah Smith was killed. It’s astounding how critical these images can be in moving a case forward. It really makes you appreciate the role technology plays in seeking justice. Jeremiah's family deserves closure, and I hope the footage continues to aid investigators in piecing together what happened that awful day. It’s unsettling to think the suspect could've slipped away without such evidence. My thoughts are with Jeremiah's loved ones; no one should have to endure such a senseless loss. May they find some peace knowing steps are being taken to find justice for Jeremiah.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Jeremiah Smith's tragic story. What stands out to me is the bravery he showed in protecting his girlfriend from the harasser. It's just so hard to comprehend how such senseless violence can erupt from something that could have been easily resolved with words instead. What's even more infuriating is the fear Jeremiah's family and friends had to live with when the suspect was still out there. I can't begin to imagine the pain his girlfriend must feel after witnessing the incident.
With Delon Hooks finally being apprehended, I hope this brings some closure to his loved ones. It's a reminder of how important it is for communities to support one another, especially in times of such devastating loss. Let's keep discussing ways to prevent these tragedies and honor Jeremiah’s memory by advocating for safer environments.
