I've been following the Deonte Roberts case and can't stop thinking about the impact this has had on his classmates in Maryland. Imagine being a high school student losing a friend this way, especially during such an uncertain time like the pandemic. I read he was a well-liked basketball player, and I wonder how his team is holding up. It's tough to grieve, especially when you can't gather with friends or hold a proper memorial service because of the restrictions back then. If anyone has any information on how the school is supporting his classmates or has updates about memorials being planned, it'd be helpful to share. It’s so important that Deonte is remembered for the vibrant and promising young life he led, not just the tragedy of his passing. My heart goes out to his friends, teammates, and everyone else affected by this senseless loss.
