Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Torey Maurice Garrison's tragic case lately, and it's just stuck with me how this reflects a larger issue in Baltimore. I mean, here we have Torey, a young man whose life was cut short at just 34, in a community that seems to be engulfed by this cycle of violence. It's really sad that even as the city tried to implement measures like surveillance cameras, killings like this still happen with little resolution.
It must be incredibly frustrating for Torey's family and friends to have so few answers after so many years. I can't imagine what it's like to have to grapple with such a profound loss without justice or closure. The Liberty Heights area being known for criminal activity only complicates things further—how do communities rebuild trust and cooperation with police when there’s such a history of unsolved cases?
I feel for all the families going through this, including Torey’s. It must be reassuring on some level that people still talk about him and keep his memory alive, though. It’s all just a stark reminder that the community needs help, and I hope ongoing discussions and actions can eventually lead to change. How do you all think we can support places like Baltimore in finding a path forward?
Thanks for letting me share.
Stay safe, everyone.
