I can't stop thinking about what a loss this must be for Stacey Van Battle's friends and family. From all accounts, he seemed like a genuinely kind person who was deeply loved by those around him. I can't imagine what they're going through right now. It's devastating to see gun violence claim more lives and shake up communities like Macon. It's clear that there’s a much bigger issue at hand here, and something has to change. Big respect to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office for their ongoing efforts, and I hope anyone who knows something will have the courage to come forward. Every piece of information could be crucial in getting justice for Stacey and Derrick.
