I’ve been following the tragic story of Miguel Reyes, and my heart goes out to his family and loved ones during these incredibly difficult times. What’s been really standing out to me is how this case sheds light on the broader issue of gun access for those with criminal records. Lattimore, who was convicted prior to this incident, somehow still managed to have a weapon, and this loophole continues to put countless lives in danger. It's baffling and terrifying to think that despite existing laws, individuals with a history of violent acts can still find ways to obtain guns. As a community, we really need to push for stricter enforcement and perhaps reevaluate how these firearms are getting into the wrong hands. My hope is that such tragic occurrences bring attention to these issues, pushing for meaningful changes that protect innocent lives like Miguel’s. Thoughts?
