I’ve been following the case of Tyree “Bleek” Dixon, and I keep thinking about his mom, Janice. After losing his dad, Tyrone, I can't imagine the pain of losing Tyree too, and in such a violent way. It’s comforting to see that the community rallied for her after the tragedy, but I keep wondering if there's more that can be done to support families like hers. The foundation they set up in Tyree’s name is such a positive step, and I hope it gains more attention and resources to help prevent these senseless acts of violence. It’s so crucial to create a space for dialogue and change in Tyree’s memory, so no other family has to endure the same loss. Thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Janice Dixon and everyone impacted by his passing.
