Does anyone else find it concerning that it took 12 hours for the facility to report Barbara missing? I can’t help but wonder if a quicker response could have made a difference. She had wandered off before, and with her mental health conditions, time was definitely of the essence. I understand they were trying to move her to a more secure place, but it seems like there might have been a lack of urgency. Maybe I'm missing something, but I do hope that changes were made after this incident to improve how such cases are handled. Anyone familiar with protocols for reporting missing persons in care facilities back in 2008?

I was looking into Barbara Ellen Brunson's case and something really caught my attention: the 12-hour delay before the authorities were alerted when she disappeared. I understand that it might take some time to notice someone missing, especially in a care facility, but considering her history of wandering off and her vulnerable health conditions, it seems surprising. Could the facility have protocols in place for such situations? If not, what measures were taken afterward? This delay could have been a crucial period where search efforts might have been more effective if initiated earlier. It’s just so puzzling why it took them that long to report her absence, especially since it wasn’t her first time leaving the premises. Wonder if that delay impacted the search; I mean, every minute counts, right? Would love to hear thoughts on this or similar cases.

Has anyone looked into the procedures at Greene's Residential Care Facility? Given that this was the fifth time Barbara Ellen Brunson had wandered off, it seems problematic that she wasn't watched more carefully, especially considering her conditions. Also, it took 12 hours for the authorities to be notified after she went missing? That’s such a long delay and could have impacted the search efforts. It seems like repeated incidents like this should have prompted a policy change or more immediate action from the facility. Has there been any investigation into how they handled her care leading up to her disappearance? It might help in understanding how such a vulnerable person could go unnoticed for so long.
