I’ve been following the case of Demarcus Gardner, and one aspect that really caught my attention is the sense of security—or lack thereof—in his neighborhood on Winston Road. It's unsettling to think about how a place that should feel like home can turn so tragic in an instant. So many residents in Columbus express fear about even simple things like walking to their cars at night.
I truly feel for Demarcus’s family and friends who not only lost someone they loved but also have to live with this looming fear in their own community. It’s tough to comprehend living in constant uncertainty without clear answers from law enforcement.
Really hoping for some progress soon. Everyone deserves to feel safe and to have closure when something so terrible happens. Stay safe, everyone.
