Did anyone else find it incredibly saddening to hear about how young Roger was when this happened? As a parent, it’s just devastating to think about the potential that was cut short. I read about the private funeral services, and I completely understand the family's wishes for some privacy amidst such a profound loss. I can't imagine what his siblings must be going through. Montavious and Markeliah will have to navigate life without their brother by their side—it’s so unfair.
I truly hope the community's outreach can help push the case towards some closure. It’s a stark reminder that gun violence impacts not just one life, but entire families and communities. It’s gut-wrenching to think that 47 families in Columbus alone were faced with this kind of tragedy by the end of 2021. Let's hope someone comes forward with information and that the Columbus Police Homicide Unit can bring justice to Roger's family. His life should not just become a sad statistic, but a catalyst for change.
I’ve been following Roger Feggins' case and my heart aches for his family. I noticed that there's been a lot of conversation about community response to gun violence in Columbus, but I'm curious about any preventative measures that were discussed after Roger's tragic passing. Are there any community programs or initiatives that have been started since that could help reduce this type of violence? I feel like sharing this type of info would be beneficial for understanding how the community is trying to heal and prevent more senseless acts. Sending love and strength to everyone who knew and loved Roger.
Hey everyone,
I've been following Roger Feggins' case ever since it happened, and I can't stop thinking about how this young life was taken so abruptly. One aspect of this tragedy that has been weighing on my mind is the impact on his siblings, Montavious and Markeliah. Losing a brother at that age must be incredibly painful and confusing. I truly hope they've been able to find some sort of support system to help them cope with such a profound loss.
I've read in a few places that the Columbus community has been very active in trying to tackle the root causes of gun violence, which is important. I really hope some good can come out of such a tragic situation—maybe increased awareness or even changes that can prevent future senseless acts like this.
Is there any news on community events or efforts aimed at addressing these issues? Also, if anyone has suggestions on how folks outside of Columbus can show support, I'd love to hear them. My heart goes out to the Feggins family and everyone else affected by this.
Stay safe, everyone.
