I’ve been thinking a lot about Alonzo Gladden lately. It's so tragic to see such a bright future cut short. As someone who serves in the military, I can only imagine how faithful and committed he must have been to pursue a career as a nuclear engineer aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. That role isn’t just handed to anyone—it requires serious dedication and skill. It seems so cruel that he survived the perils of military service only to be taken away in his own neighborhood. I hope the community steps up to support his family during this terrible time. Anyone with information should really come forward; his family deserves answers and some semblance of peace. If anyone has attended the "honk to remember" events, I'd be interested to hear how it went and if there's been any movement with the investigation since. It pains me to see that this case, like so many others in Baltimore, remains unsolved. Thoughts and prayers to everyone touched by his loss.
