On October 24, 2012, Alonzo Gladden, a 24-year-old Navy sailor, was fatally shot in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Marbourne Avenue as Gladden, who was on leave from his duties, had just returned home. He was sitting in his car with his brother, preparing to unload groceries for his grandmother when he was ambushed.
