Does anyone think the mines José mentioned in his call could be a significant clue? I've been digging into the geography around Sells, AZ, and there are a few locations that could match his description. Maybe the mines near him were recognizable or distinctive? It's chilling to think that his last known call was about being close to those mines with the phone battery dying. If anyone's familiar with the area, perhaps they could shed some light on how easy or difficult it might be to explore that terrain on foot, especially considering his limited resources and physical condition at that time. For me, this detail raises so many questions about what could have happened next. Thoughts?
I've been following José's disappearance for a while now, and something that really stands out to me is the cellphone situation. It breaks my heart to think that he was relying on a device with such a low battery in such a critical moment. Why didn't the coyote provide him with more reliable means of communication, especially considering the dangers of the journey? I've seen similar cases where people were given solar chargers or extra power banks, so it's puzzling and frustrating that José didn’t have these resources.
