I've been thinking a lot about the tragic events that took place in Rex, Georgia, and I can't help but reflect on how the community will cope with what's happened. The loss of Dominique Bibbins, along with Mary Gilliam and Officer Henry Laxson, has left a deep scar. It's hard to imagine the pain that their families must be enduring right now. One aspect that's been on my mind is the resilience of the community, especially considering the brave actions of the 12-year-old boy who was injured. It's remarkable how, despite his own suffering, he had the presence of mind to guide officers to the home. I can't even begin to fathom what he and his family are going through, but his courage during such a terrifying moment speaks volumes about his character. As we try to make sense of this senseless violence, I hope the community can rally together to support each other and the families of all those affected. It's times like these when showing love, strength, and unity can make a world of difference in the healing process. My thoughts are with everyone impacted as they navigate this difficult time.
