I've been following the Errol Gordon case, and something that's been on my mind is the community response, or the lack thereof. It's already been almost two years, and while the Savannah Police are urging folks to step forward with any info, it seems there's a quietness about it that's unsettling.
Errol was so well-regarded, not just in the music scene with Gap Trap but also in his church and neighborhood. You'd think there'd be more chatter, more willingness to break the silence from those who might've seen or heard something the night he was taken from us. I can't help but wonder if fear is holding people back or if it's just a matter of not having enough information.
The city has seen too many lives cut short like this, and it pains me to think that Errol's case might become just another cold file if the community doesn’t rally together. Hoping for more voices to come forward soon so Emon and Zoey can know that justice was done for their dad. Keeping the family in my thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
Is anyone else worried about the broader community impact Errol's death highlights? It's so distressing seeing another promising life, like Errol's, cut short due to violence. I never knew him personally, but from what I've read and heard, he was truly making waves in the music scene and had a big heart for his church and community. Losing someone so proactive and inspirational really shakes up the spirit and safety of Savannah.
People have been talking a lot about the altercation that happened before he was shot—it's really frustrating not knowing if it was just some senseless act or something more complicated. I can't help but think how his family and closest ones would feel knowing the investigation is still ongoing. Really hoping someone with answers comes forward soon. Savannah can't afford to lose more souls like Errol's. Anyone plugged in with local efforts or community outreach on this issue? It's going to take all of us working together to hopefully prevent something like this from happening again.
