I’ve been following this terribly sad case, and I just can't stop thinking about how complex family dynamics can be. The fact that Nathan Larry Mayfield was known as such a devoted family man makes this even more baffling. It's difficult to reconcile the image of a loving grandfather with what happened on that day. I wonder if there were any stressors or changes in the family that weren't obvious to outsiders. Often, families can carry burdens behind closed doors that no one ever sees. I hope the investigation can provide answers to help the family come to terms with this tragedy. My thoughts are with all of them during this time of unimaginable loss.
