I’ve been thinking a lot about the timeline of Grayson’s party that night. It’s been especially tough trying to understand how things escalated so quickly. It’s deeply unsettling knowing that there were so many young people there, yet identifying the shooter took such a long time. I can’t imagine what Grayson’s family has been going through. Having all those witnesses but no solid leads for a long time must have made it even more difficult to cope with their loss. The community must have been feeling so unsettled and anxious at the time, thinking someone responsible was still out there. It’s definitely a relief that arrests have been made, but I hope that everyone involved can eventually find some peace and healing. Keeping Grayson’s family and friends in my thoughts today.
