Has anyone else read about the night Carolyn's friend managed to escape and call for help? I honestly can't imagine the fear and adrenaline she must have felt in that moment. Her actions are beyond commendable. She's been called an "angel" by Carolyn's family, and rightfully so. Her bravery possibly saved her own life and ensured that Carolyn's life wasn't taken without a fight for justice. I wonder what kind of support she has been receiving since that night. It's crucial that we not only focus on justice for Carolyn but also provide support and healing for survivors who have endured such traumatic experiences. If anyone finds organizations working on this, it would be great to share them here.
I’ve been following Carolyn Griffin’s case closely, and one thing that I can’t stop thinking about is the immense bravery of Carolyn’s friend who managed to escape and call for help. It’s hard to even imagine the terror they must have felt during such a horrific situation. Being there, witnessing the violence, and then finding the courage to act swiftly and make that call—it's truly incredible. While we mourn Carolyn and support her family in their search for justice, I hope we can also recognize and appreciate the strength it took for her friend to reach out for help. Her actions undoubtedly saved her own life and, without a doubt, were pivotal in ensuring that law enforcement could quickly respond. Carolyn’s family refers to her as an "angel," and I think that’s such a fitting tribute. My thoughts are with all of them during this really difficult time.
