I can't stop thinking about the impact this has had on the neighborhood kids. It’s so disheartening to know that something as simple as playing with your sibling in the safety of your home can end in tragedy because of violence erupting outside. These kids deserve to live without this constant fear. It's crucial for communities, especially those susceptible to frequent violence, to stand together and push for improved safety measures. Everyone who lives in that complex should feel secure in their home. Every child deserves a safe environment to grow up in, free from the threats of gun violence. If anyone is aware of communities or organizations working to combat this, sharing that information can only help. The Ball family has experienced unmatched grief, and rallying around them to enact change is the least we can do in Marcus's memory.
