Has anyone heard any updates on the ballistics evidence regarding the tragic shooting of Anton Hamilton and Myshaun Smith in Columbus, Georgia? I know the police have been working tirelessly, and I'm really hoping they have something that could lead to a breakthrough in the case. It’s so frustrating to think that their families are still waiting for answers over a year later. Maybe someone with experience in law enforcement can shed some light on how long it typically takes to match ballistic evidence? My thoughts are with the Hamilton and Smith families, and I truly hope justice is served soon.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the Homegoing Celebration for Anton Hamilton that took place on September 10, 2022. From what I’ve gathered, it seems it was a beautiful yet incredibly emotional event. The loss of someone so young and full of potential is such a heavy weight for any community to bear. I can only imagine how Anton's family and friends felt, surrounded by people who loved him and wished he was still with them.
Does anyone know if the community has come together or organized any events or initiatives in response to this tragedy? Sometimes, communities will hold peace rallies or start awareness campaigns to try and prevent similar incidents in the future. It’s so important that Anton and Myshaun's stories remind us all of the need for action against the spiral of violence affecting so many neighborhoods.
Hoping for peace and justice for Anton, Myshaun, and everyone else affected. ?️
I was reflecting on the community's response to the tragic loss of Anton Hamilton and Myshaun Smith. It's clear from the turnout at Anton's Homegoing Celebration just how loved and cherished he was. The support shown by friends, family, and even those who didn't know him well speaks volumes about the impact of his life.
In situations like these, it's heartbreaking—beyond devastating—to see such potential and light extinguished too soon. The ripple effect on the community is profound, and it's crucial that we channel this collective grief into action. I applaud the community leaders who are calling for changes to address the root causes of the violence that took these young men's lives.
Has anyone been involved in local initiatives or meetings since this happened? I think sharing any updates or ways to contribute could really help bring about the change we all need to see to prevent future tragedies. My thoughts go out to everyone who knew and loved Anton and Myshaun.
