I've been following the case of Dean Phillips, and something that really stands out to me is the impact he had through his "Was and Now" foundation. It's so rare to see someone truly dedicated to making a tangible difference, and it's clear that Dean's work went beyond just charity. Providing beds for kids who need them might seem simple, but it's such a basic need that can vastly improve a child’s quality of life and sense of security.
It's horrifying to think that while he spent his life trying to uplift others, someone out there chose to take his life in such a senseless act. I can only imagine the shock and pain his family must be experiencing—and the hole left by his absence in their lives. I hope the community continues to rally around the causes Dean was passionate about and that justice will soon follow.
For anyone local, if you know anything that might help the investigation, please do come forward. The least we can do for a man who gave so much is to make sure his story doesn’t end without answers.
I’ve been following Dean Phillips' case closely, and something that strikes me is how selfless he was. Many of you probably know about his work with the "Was and Now" foundation, but what stands out to me is his instinct to protect, right up to the last moment at the tavern parking lot. It’s such a chilling reminder of the risks involved when standing up to do the right thing, yet it’s a testament to his character. The bravery he showed shouldn’t just be part of this tragic story; it should be a rallying point for the community to ensure that his impact continues and that his murderer is brought to justice. Sending strength to Sandra and the kids. If anyone knows anything, please, let’s help find some closure for this family.
